i’m SO upset about the term ‘die cis scum’ and all the shit like that. being part of the lgbtq+ community does not give u permission to tell anyone - of any race, gender, sexuality, etc. - to die. at all. there is no discussion

I think I remember…

I think what the blogger was trying to say is that there is a glaring inequality in the treatment of trans folks and cis folks on the Internet. I don’t agree with telling anyone to die either, but I think she’s trying to show how very very few insults, slurs, and hate crimes are targeted at cis folks for being cis. But yeah, I’m pretty sure that is where the term largely originates. (Possible on different discussion boards of the 2000s too but we won’t go there.) Have a nice night! :)

i know that. there’s an indescribable difference between experiencing transphobia and cisphobia. i just was aiming at the fact that it should never be okay for anyone to tell anyone to die, regardless of the situation. this kind of behavior can cultivate into something more dangerous, not just to people physically but to the mind, and besides that, just the sentence “die, ___” is alarming and should never be used. for a community that advocates the erasure of that sentence, i sure do see it a lot.
